Our Mission
Kenosha Racine Music Teachers Association, also known as KRMTA, has been providing quality music education to the community for over 40 years. Our organization helps teachers and their students grow to maximum potential by hosting workshops and holding performance driven events.
All KRMTA members are affiliates of Wisconsin Music Teachers Association (WMTA) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).
The mission of these associations is to advance the value of music study to support the professionalism of music teachers. As an affiliate of these organizations we work together to accomplish goals which could not be achieved by an individual which exist at only one level.
At Kenosha Racine Music Teachers Association , we believe that every person has the potential to learn and enjoy music. We strive to create a positive and nurturing environment where students can develop their skills and creativity, and gain confidence and self-expression through music.

Our History
The Racine Music Teachers Association and the Kenosha Music Teachers Association were merged in 2019 to become KRMTA. Founders of these prior associations have been sponsoring musical events in southeastern Wisconsin for over 40 years, with recognition for excellence given to teachers and students.
